At peak experience we offer a real person centered approach to team building and leadership events. With our highly trained and experienced outdoor education staff ranging from teachers to ex-military leaders you can be assured of not only an exhilarating experience, but a holistic approach to the learnings from it.
We use several models of learning, training and evaluation tailored to expose the needs of the group. Some of the models we use are:-
Maslow's hierarchy of needs
Senninger's learning zone model (2000)
Kolb's experiential learning cycle and styles
Kirkpatrick's learning evaluation model
By following the different models we aim to conceptualise learnings in an outdoor setting to allow the learner to apply them in a work environment. For instance if a leader struggles to make snap decisions under pressure at work we can facilitate high pressure situations where judgments and decisions have to be made and reflecting on the process to allow learning to take place.
Holistic Learning Outdoors
We believe for the models to have a high achievement rate the learning must take place in a fun, but challenging environment which is where the outdoors plays a very important part. Taking people out of a comfort zone into a potentially hostile environment adds another level to the specially selected challenges and energisers that are executed, reflected and evaluated on throughout the event.
All of our events are bespoke to the needs of clients and organisations with pre-learning/event and evaluation forms for participants. We believe that by providing the very best service in team building and leadership training, providing challenges appropriate to client outcomes and reflecting on the whole process of learning and experience, will change the dynamics of small team businesses. This is achieved by coaching and allowing teams to grow both as a business, person and employee.
